Wind catching guide

Wind catching guide is a videowork of a performance by the artist. The wind is invisible and it reveals itself through the sound. The sounds depends of contact with other objects, and the character of this sound is determined by the form of these objects. The act of wind catching is an interaction with this natural element, the air, unlike the usual breathing process that we barely even notice. Wind catching guide is a performative action created in video format.

Olia Fedorova is an Ukrainian multidisciplinary concept artist who works with performance, photography, video and text. Fedorova has received multiple awards at art contests and in addition to her solo exhibitions, she has participated in art residencies, group exhibitions and projects internationally.
