The students have been collecting the locals’ stories surrounding the theme of the earth and its environments, stories that will eventually be combined into a single memorable narrative as a part of a short video documentary.
The project also includes an earthly goahti being built next to KulttuuriKauppila, where the stories will be told and filmed around a cozy bonfire. Both the goahti and the video documentary will be available for general public as a part of Art Ii Biennial 2020! Related workshops will be held in Finnish during the Biennial week.
